the softness make this picture artful,. but then the the over exposed is not that acceptable since ur model is the main object,. so how to make it, perhaps softbox is one of the tips,.and try several angle of this softbox. If ur using simple speed light, what u can do is,. put ur speedlight in one tripod, and u can find one something that can make soft the like (e.g. reflector use without the cover) set in in front of ur speedlight, aroun 30 cm, u can use tape and other things to make it still stand there,.. than u have the softbox now,. so have a nice try and observe from which angle the light must come,.. Thanks for sharing
